Teacher and Facilitator Partnerships

This workshop will focus on the language development process and strategies that are outlined by the Teacher of the Deaf partnering with the Language Facilitator and implemented by the Language Facilitator. The Language Facilitator will review the Learning Guide the Teacher of the Deaf has created for their student and the targets outlined. These targets will be added or adjusted based on their Data Collection sheet that is completed daily by the Language Facilitator as they work with their student in the classroom setting. Language Facilitators will apply their understanding of the language targets outlined by the Teacher of the Deaf in role-play scenarios with feedback and coaching provided by the presenters. Then, they will practice Facilitation strategies with vocabulary games to better understand the Language Processing Hierarchy as their student grows in their language development.
